Industrial design for the mass consumption sector.
Through these years we have achieved a lot of experience working side by side with marketing departments of mass compsumption companies and multinationals (Lékué, Unilever, Frigo, Chupachups, Joycogrup,…). And we have developed projects for different sectors such as food, kitchenware, sweets / candies, (…) reaching, in several projects, successable and recognised solutions. Products that remain for a long time in the memory of entire generations.
It is not easy, not at all, the marketing managers are very clear about what they are looking for, and aspects such as the cost of the product, communication and function are decisive for their best introduction into the market. Everything is analyzed, thought and meditated. The results must also be translated into data and our role is to make it human, approachable and practical. Giving meaning to things and the world that surrounds us on a daily basis.
The results may seem obvious – many times this is the intention that marks the lines because it is a way to quickly overcome barriers – however, despite this simplicity, the work behind this project profile is enormous because they are sectors in which that products are subject to infinity of rules, regulations and circumstances, such as temperatures, physical forces, conservation, sizes, percentiles, … Elements that end up marking even the smallest detail and that are fundamental, not only for their viability and existence but above all for security standards.
As consumers, we do not usually think about all these kinds of things – thank goodness! – but industrial designers must always keep them in mind all time. These are questions that define objects with the necessary quality with which they must reach people.
These projects could well be defined as the most strictly subject to design because they are generated after an order, have an unalterable timing, companies (clients) are very clear that design is an ally to solve their needs, the industry is the means for its existence, the market is its channel, and they always thinks, always in the people.
Objects destined to be intruded in a massive way -in a positive sense-, in our lives.
